Director of HIM in White Plains, NY

The Director of HIM for this Adult Care Community is required to bring to the table a high degree of expertise regarding the management of our campus-wide Health Information. Day-to-day responsibilities involve campus-wide operational oversight of the HIM/Medical Records functions/departments in each of our programs, management and leadership of HIM staff/Unit Clerks and the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategic health information management services. This position also serves as the designated Privacy Officer. Successful incumbents possess a high degree of initiative, credibility, and decisiveness and are able to remain results-oriented at all times. Exceptionally high leadership and management skills are a must. A Bachelor's Degree in Health Information and Informatics Management is required, as is a minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-program environment. A Master's degree is preferred, as is 7 years of experience (or more). Previous management experience is required. Incumbents must possess at a minimum a Registered Health Information Technology (RHIT) certification, but would prefer Registered Health Information Administration (RHIA), along with certification in Privacy and Security (CHPS) designators are a plus.
